On 19th October during a joint press conference in New Delhi, 11 leading developers of NCR have come together to promote Sohna as the next hottest and affordable housing destination within the reach of Gurgaon. Also, the developers declared that the locality, which is known as Sohna, will now be called South of Gurgaon.

The 11 participating developers include Supertech Limited, Ashiana Homes, Ashiana Housing, Eldeco, Central Park, ILD, CHD Developers, Silverglades, MKS Ventures, Gold Souk, and Nimai Developers.

Why South of Gurgaon will emerge as the next hottest realty destination?

Within Reach

The main reason which attracts leading developers towards South of Gurgaon is ‘Accessibility’. Away from the maddening crowd of the main Gurgaon city, South of Gurgaon is just 20-25 minutes drive from commercial hubs such as Golf Course Road, Cyber City and famous shopping malls of Gurgaon. The area is easily approachable from Sohna Road, Golf Course Road and Indira Gandhi International Airport.

Well-developed Infrastructure

Sohna already has basic infrastructure and amenities in place. The area is a hub of many famous educational institutions such as a KR Mangalam University, Ryan International School, GD Goenka World School, Delhi Public School (DPS) and many more. In addition, luxury hotels such as Fortune, Park Plaza, Westin Resort present in the area.

Affordable Prices

During press meet, Mohit Arora, Director Supertech Limited quoted that in comparison to central Gurgaon, the property prices in South of Gurgaon are reasonable. The region offers various affordable housing projects at a Basic sale price (BSP) of Rs 4,500 per sq ft. whereas central Gurgaon offers housing projects at a starting price of Rs 10,000-12,000 per sq ft.

Another developer said that the area can offer smaller and affordable homes compared to the homes in central Gurgaon.

Gleaming future

South of Gurgaon enjoys close proximity to the upcoming 1,483-kms long Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) and Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway. Once operational, it will enhance connectivity in the region. Also, the Haryana government has planned to set up theme hubs along the expressway such as sports hub, leisure hub, etc. It will improve the popularity of this area.

The area is situated on the foothill of serene Aravali Hills. The developers have decided to start corporate social responsibility campaigns for tree plantation programmes to keep the greenery of the region intact.
