Govt allows PF withdrawal for housing and health
The labour ministry on Monday eased the planned restriction on withdrawal of contribution to the employees’ provident fund.
It said withdrawal can be allowed for housing, major medical treatment for self and family members, medical, dental and engineering education of children, and for their marriage.

LIC Housing Finance Q4 net up 20% at Rs 1,667 crore
LIC Housing Finance on Monday reported a rise of 19.5 per cent in its consolidated net profit at Rs 1,667.70 crore for the quarter ended March 31. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 1,395.61 crore in the corresponding quarter previous fiscal, it said in a regulatory filing.

2% hike in stamp duty in Noida, Gr Noida by April-end
The stamp duty in Noida and Greater Noida will be increased to 7% from the current 5% by end of April, sources in UP stamp and registration department told TOI on Sunday. While a notification for the same has already been issued by UP industries department, the stamp and registration department too will issue a notification within a week.

Nagpur civic body to reduce building plan premium for institutions
The institutions working or planning to provide education and health services are set to get heavy reduction in premium charges to be paid while getting building plan sanctions or revising the existing building. Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) will reduce the premium charges with immediate effect.
