NHAI starts work on first phase of pod transport in Gurgaon
Personal Rapid Transit (PRT), the proposed pod taxi service between Sirhaul and Rajiv Chowk in Gurgaon, could soon become a reality, after NHAI presented a feasibility report of the project and invited expressions of interest (EOI) from international agencies, including the favourite Metrino of Poland, to start work on it.

Maha to probe Wakf land transactions
Maharashtra government will probe alleged irregularities in Wakf land transactions during the previous Congress-NCP regime, the state Assembly was informed on Wednesday.
“We will probe alleged irregularities (in Wakf land transactions) during the 15 years (of Congress-NCP rule),” Minister of State for Minorities Development Dilip Kamble said.

Urban planners urge Centre to bring in norms for transit oriented development
Urban planners have highlighted the urgent need to address key concerns of the Transit Oriented Development (TOD) policy for its faster implementation. Though all states are drafting their own TOD policy, experts say the Union urban development ministry needs to provide basic guidelines for finalising it.
