On Friday, the Noida- Greater Noida authorities gave green signal to two new metro corridors for the twin cities during its joint board meeting held in Noida. The move will bring Noida and Grater Noida closer to Delhi and is expected to benefit more that 15 lakhs people. In addition, this move will give a major hike to the realty market of these twin cities and also contributed towards enhanced connectivity.
The first metro corridor is 15 kilometers long which connects sector-71 in Noida to Knowledge Park 5. Starting from sector-71, the route will cover Gaursons intersection, Greater Noida West in sector-4, Ecotech 12, Sector 2, 3, 10, 12 and will end at Knowledge Park 5.
According to detailed project report prepared by DMRC, there will be 9 elevated stations and the route is expected to be operational within four years. Another corridor will be11kilometer long which will have seven stations. This route will run from Okhala Bird Sanctuary to sector-142 Noida.
Once the state government has authorized the proposal and a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is signed the construction will start.
